Mobilise professionals committed to education and child protection.
Since 1980, Asmae’s work has aimed to support vulnerable children and their families by providing tailored and long-term support to local actors working in the fields of education and child protection.
To ensure its development, the association relies on values and methods inherited from its founder, and affirmed in the Asmae 2020 Association Project:
- listening and proximity;
- pragmatism;
- acceptance of differences;
- professionalism and reciprocity.
Its vision: “A just world that enables children to live and grow up with dignity with their families and in their environment in order to become free women and men, who actively participate in society” is at the heart of the projects carried out by the fifty or so local organisations supported each year.
Asmae is aware that its main asset is the nearly 110 salaried staff and 40 volunteers who actively participate in its operations in each of the 6 countries of intervention.
Developing skills in an intercultural context
In each of the countries where it operates, Asmae is committed to developing the skills of its staff through regular training and the promotion of diversity in all its forms. The emphasis placed on trust, goodwill and collaborative management also characterises our desire to enable each member of staff to develop and progress in the job he or she holds.
Our culture
We are tolerant and acknowledge the right to make mistakes. We are united by our concern for the sustainability of our actions and the strengthening of the communities in our countries of intervention. Asmae staff share a common vision of education and child protection.
